Quiz Competition

Hasan was selected for a quiz program in his school. It was an interesting experience trying to make him learn a few possible questions that were hinted by his teacher as possible questions in the quiz. The best part of the learning process was when he confidently answered the question 'How many days are in a week?' as 'There are four provinces in a week, Sunday, Monday...' We all went rolling on the floor, laughing!

I am writing to Hasanolution after a considerable amount of time. It has been too much fun being with Hasan and Hamna than it is to write this blog!

Hasan has now joined his school Nakhla since 1st of August 2005. We did not settle on a 'van arrangement' for Hasan school going as a) no vanwala was available for our area initially and b) the van mode of transport does not seem to be very safe for children of small age.

I drop Hasan at the school in the morning at around 8:15 AM. This has an added advantage of making me join the office before anyone else at around 8:45 AM in the morning giving me enough time to settle down, have some hand made green tea, read the newspaper and brace for the day's work.

Got my first 'literal' black board today. Its a small wooden board on which I can write with a chalk. To my parents surprise, I'd been enjoying wiping the board more than writing on it!

Hasan's potty training started from today. His vocabulary building up rapidly as well. Hamna can now hold her head up even when unsupported.

Hamna is born on June 25, 2003. The blog is changing from one dedicated to Hasan alone to that dedicated to both Hasan & Hamna.

Got vaccinated on Saturday last. Suprised Ammi and Abba by not crying at all at the time of vaccination. I ran fever for two days after the puncture but am back to normal once again.

I pulled the Iron that ammi plugged in a few seconds ago and the iron fell on the top of my left hand. Wow! that was hot! I cried for a minute or two then just got busy in the three hundred fifteen interesting things in the room. A strange bubble has formed on the spot where the hot iron hit my hand. Whenever people around me ask 'Where Did It Hurt?', I am showing them this strange bubble. Ammi has asked baba to get Bephantin Plus Ointment for me. I look cuter with the trouble!
